Don’t Call it a Comeback!

Welcome! The goal of #HugYourEngine is to promote the excellent work being done to develop cleaner and more efficient engines around the world. I jokingly refer to this as “The Internal Combustion Comeback Tour,” because much of the world believes that the IC engine is dying or even already dead. In truth, however, IC engines are everywhere, and will continue to be for many years to come. So really, it’s not a comeback at all – the engine never left. What does need a comeback is the public perception of the IC engine. Sure, electrification is growing, but combustion engines are still a large part of the future of transportation. We hope to help bring a positive impression of IC engines back to the mainstream through articles, social media, and live presentations. Stay tuned!
